Inimex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is focused on the development and commercialization of Innate Defense Regulators (IDRs), novel fi rst in class drugs that selectively trigger the body’s innate defenses without causing inflammation.
Efficacy data in numerous animal models and promising safety data indicate the opportunity to develop muliple IDR products addressing signifi cant unmet medical needs with major market potential. Th ese medical needs include infections in immune suppressed patients, antibiotic resistant hospital infections (e.g. MRSA, VRE, and FQRP), and the management of inflammatory disease.
Th e Company’s lead product, IMX942, targets a broad spectrum of life-threatening hospital infections, many of which are antibiotic resistant. The first clinical indication is the prevention of infections associated with chemotherapy. Additional product candidates will be developed for distinct disease areas, with an emphasis on inflammatory disease and demonstration of the potential for orally available IDR dosage forms.
