Since 1995, Westport Innovations has engaged in the research, development, and marketing of high-performance engines and fuel systems which use gaseous fuels such as compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), hydrogen, and hydrogen-enriched compressed natural gas (HCNG).
Our unique technologies reduce nitrogen oxides (NOx), particulate matter (PM) and greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) while preserving the power, torque, and fuel efficiency of diesel engines.
In addition to our proprietary technologies, we have the in-depth market and industry knowledge required to transition commercial fleets and cities from oil to natural gas. Our expertise includes:

Our corporate offices and engine laboratories are located in Vancouver, Canada. Our facilities total over 11,150 m2 (120,000 ft2) and feature eight engine test cells suitable for engines up to 1,200 hp, and a medium-duty chassis dynamometer.
