Vancouver-based Yaletown Will Continue Investing in Early-Stage Clean-tech & IT Companies in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest
Early-stage venture capital firm Yaletown Venture Partners, an established Vancouver-based team investing in clean energy technology and information technology companies in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest, today announced a $65 million initial closing on Yaletown Ventures II Limited Partnership.
Aspreva Pharmaceuticals Corporation (NASDAQ: ASPV; TSX: ASV) today announced that it has entered into a combination agreement with Galenica Group (SWX: GALN) under which Galenica, through a wholly-owned Canadian subsidiary, will acquire all of Aspreva’s outstanding shares at a price of US$26.00 per share in cash. The total value of the transaction is approximately US$915 million.

NEW YORK — Canadian yoga and fitness apparel company Lululemon Athletica Inc. expects an initial public offering of 18.2 million shares by the company and its stockholders to raise about $200.2-million (U.S.), according to a regulatory filing Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
A group of stockholders, including private equity investors Advent International Corp. and Highland Capital Partners, are offering 15.9 million shares in the offering. The remaining 2.3 million shares will be sold by the company.
